  1. Pack Smart for Golf & Culture – Bring golf attire per course rules, casual clothes for sightseeing, and layers for cooler evenings. Comfortable walking shoes are a must.

  2. Currency & Cash – Japan is still largely cash-based. Carry some yen for small purchases; credit cards are accepted at major hotels and stores.

  3. Transport Prep – Make the most of the Shinkansen. Keep your ticket handy and arrive early for seating.

  4. Tee Time Punctuality – Japanese golf courses value precision. Arrive at least 30 minutes before your tee time.

  5. Etiquette Matters – Bow when greeting, avoid loud phone calls, and follow local golf etiquette (repair divots, rake bunkers).

  6. Language Tips – Learn a few basic Japanese phrases; signage is often bilingual, but small restaurants or local tours may not be.

  7. Connectivity – Rent a pocket Wi-Fi or SIM card for easy navigation, translating menus, and staying connected.

  8. Hydration & Snacks – Japanese courses may have vending machines, but it’s wise to carry water and light snacks during your rounds.

  9. Sightseeing Timing – Plan cultural tours around early mornings or late afternoons to avoid crowds at temples, shrines, and historic sites.

  10. Travel Insurance & Health – Make sure your policy covers golfing, Shinkansen travel, and any adventure activities during non-golf days.
