Originally designed in 1908, the layout was famously refined by the legendary architect Dr. Alister MacKenzie, establishing its status as a strategic masterpiece. To preserve this heritage for the modern era, the club partnered with design firm Crafter + Mogford for an ongoing course enhancement plan. This meticulous evolution focuses on restoring the course's classic Sandbelt characteristics, highlighting its famous native tree-lined fairways and razor-sharp bunkering. With its spectacular, modern clubhouse and championship pedigree, Metropolitan continues to blend its elite history with a world-class member experience.
