Montagu is a refined parkland championship course at Fancourt, ranked among the Top 10–20 in South Africa. It has hosted multiple Sunshine Tour events and elite tournaments. Outeniqua Golf Course
Outeniqua offers a relaxed yet championship-quality round within the Fancourt estate, ranked among the Top 20–30 resort courses in South Africa. Designed by Dick Wilson and enhanced by Gary Player, it features generous fairways, strategic hazards, and smooth greens framed by mountain scenery. It is the most playable of the three Fancourt courses but still delivers strong test value. Known for flow and enjoyment, it completes one of the world’s greatest golf estate collections.
Pezula Championship Golf Course
Pezula is a cliffside masterpiece above Knysna, consistently ranked among the Top 10 most scenic and Top 15–20 courses in South Africa. Designed by David Dale and Ron Fream, it winds through coastal fynbos, dramatic elevation changes, and ocean viewpoints. The par-5 13th overlooking the Knysna Heads is iconic. Whilst prizes will be allocated and golf played as per the rules this is set up to be a friendly welcoming format.

Top 10 Travel Tips for Joining a South Africa Golf Tour from Australia
Prepare for the time difference early
South Africa is several hours behind Australia, so begin adjusting your sleep schedule a few days before departure. Getting outside in natural sunlight on arrival is one of the best ways to reduce jet lag.
Pack for changing weather conditions
Cape Town and the Garden Route can experience cool mornings, warm afternoons and windy coastal conditions all in the same day. Bring lightweight layers, a wind jacket and comfortable travel clothing.
Travel insurance and visa preparation
Australian passport holders generally do not require a tourist visa for short stays in South Africa, however passports must be valid with blank pages available. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended and should include medical cover, golf equipment and trip interruptions.
Expect different golf course conditions
South African courses are often firmer and faster than many Australian layouts. Ball rollout can be significant, particularly on links-style courses, so course management becomes very important.
