Flights from Australia to Scotland typically take 22–26 hours with connections. Arriving a day early and getting a good night’s sleep helps you hit the first tee fresh.
Many golfers find it easier to stop in Singapore, Dubai, Doha, or London for a night. Splitting the trip can make the long journey far more comfortable.
Use a well-padded travel golf bag and remove adjustable club heads if possible. Placing a stiff arm or towel inside the bag helps protect your clubs during the journey.
Most airlines flying from Australia allow golf bags as part of your checked luggage, but weight limits vary. Check allowances before departure to avoid airport surprises.
Golf clubs are valuable. Comprehensive travel insurance covering sports equipment gives peace of mind for lost or delayed luggage.
