Chee Chan Golf Resort is one of Pattaya’s most visually spectacular golf courses, set beneath the famous Khao Chee Chan — Buddha Mountain — whose enormous golden Buddha engraving can be seen throughout the course. Designed by David Dale of Golfplan and opened in 2018, the championship layout stretches to more than 7,300 yards, with rolling terrain, large undulating greens, strategic bunkering and water coming into play throughout. Highlights include the risk-reward par-4 15th and demanding par-3 17th alongside the lake. Beautiful conditioning, five-star facilities and panoramic views towards Pattaya and the Gulf of Thailand make Chee Chan one of Thailand’s standout modern golf experiences.

Designed by Jack Nicklaus, Laem Chabang International Country Club is a spectacular 27-hole championship complex featuring three distinctive nine-hole layouts — Mountain, Lake and Valley. Spread across 700 acres of rolling countryside, the course combines elevated tees, lakes, streams, strategic bunkering and lush tropical scenery. Each nine has its own personality, from the elevation and dramatic terrain of the Mountain Course to the water-lined Lake Course and more open, inviting Valley layout. Classic Nicklaus risk-and-reward design encourages golfers to think their way around the course, while excellent conditioning and beautiful natural surroundings make Laem Chabang one of Pattaya’s most complete golf experiences.

Siam Country Club Plantation is one of Pattaya’s most dramatic championship layouts. Designed by Schmidt-Curley and opened in 2008, the 27-hole complex was built on a former pineapple plantation and features three nine-hole courses — Sugar Cane, Tapioca and Pineapple. Sweeping elevation changes, deep bunkering, fast undulating greens and panoramic views across Pattaya create a demanding but spectacular test. Its signature feature is the enormous triple green shared by three finishing holes, one of the most recognisable sights in Thai golf. A former host of the Honda LPGA Thailand, Plantation combines tournament pedigree with bold modern design and is a genuine championship test for golfers visiting Pattaya.

Siam Country Club Old Course is one of Thailand’s most historic and prestigious championship courses. Originally opened in 1971 and extensively renovated by Schmidt-Curley, it has become synonymous with the Honda LPGA Thailand and continues to host many of the world’s leading female golfers. Mature trees frame beautifully manicured fairways, while strategic bunkering and fast, undulating greens place a premium on accuracy and course management. The layout retains the character of a traditional parkland course while delivering modern tournament standards. With decades of history, superb conditioning and genuine professional tournament pedigree, the Old Course is one of the essential rounds on any Pattaya golf itinerary.

Tournament Format
Chee Chan Golf Resort – Texas 2 Ball
Laem Chabang International Country Club – 2 Person Ambrose
Siam Country Club – Plantation Course – 4BBB
Siam Country Club – Old Course – 2 Ball Ambrose
While this is a pairs event, SINGLES ARE WELCOME!
Competition Formats
2 Ball Ambrose
Both players tee off before selecting the best shot. Both players then play from that position and continue this process until the ball is holed. This format encourages teamwork and strategy while allowing golfers of all abilities to contribute throughout the round.
2 Ball Texas Scramble
Both players tee off before selecting the best drive. From that position, each golfer plays their own ball independently until the hole is completed. The team's score is determined using the combined Stableford points from both players, rewarding teamwork off the tee and individual play into the green.
4BBB Net
Both players play their own ball throughout the hole and record their individual net Stableford score using their applicable handicap. The better Nett score of the two players is recorded as the team's score for that hole.
Only one score counts on each hole, so partners can complement each other throughout the round. The team with the highest total 4BBB Stableford score at the end of the round is the winner.
Event is open to all golfers with a Golf ID
Daily NTP and other novelty prizes
Maximum handicap differential of 20 between players
Players/teams without an official Golf Australia handicap are only eligible for daily novelty prizes
Minimum drives per person apply depending on the round format

Hotel Check-Out
Transfer to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport or extend your stay
1) Entry / Visa Basics
Australian passport holders can currently enter Thailand visa-free for short tourist stays. Your passport should have more than six months validity when entering Thailand. Be prepared to provide proof of accommodation, sufficient funds and an onward or return flight if requested by immigration.
All non-Thai travellers must also complete the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) online before arrival. It can be submitted within 3 days before arriving in Thailand, is free, and should only be completed through the official Thailand Immigration website.
2) Visas & Entry Requirements
If you intend to stay longer than the visa-exempt period or are travelling on a passport other than an Australian passport, check your individual visa requirements before travelling.
Thailand's entry requirements can change, so we recommend checking Smartraveller and the Royal Thai Embassy before departure.
3) Getting to Pattaya
For most international travellers, Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) is the most convenient gateway for Pattaya.
Pattaya is approximately 120–150 km from Bangkok, with the road journey generally taking around 1.5–2 hours, depending on traffic.
If airport transfers are included with your Jet Set Golf package, make sure we have your correct flight details before departure.
Important: Bangkok has two major airports – Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Don Mueang (DMK) – so double-check your arrival and departure airport.
4) Flying with Golf Clubs
Check your airline's sporting equipment and checked baggage policy before departure. Golf clubs may be included within your checked baggage allowance on some airlines, while others charge additional sporting or oversized baggage fees.
Where required, pre-book your golf bag before travelling rather than paying excess baggage charges at the airport.
We also recommend using a quality golf travel bag and placing identification both inside and outside your golf bag.
5) Travel Insurance & Health
Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly recommended. Your policy should cover overseas medical expenses, evacuation, cancellation and your golf equipment.
Check the policy limits for lost, delayed or damaged golf clubs, particularly if travelling with expensive equipment. Smartraveller recommends ensuring your insurance covers your entire trip and the activities you intend to undertake.
Ensure routine vaccinations are up to date and speak with your doctor before travelling if you have any specific medical requirements or are carrying prescription medication.
6) Money, Currency & Caddie Tips
Thailand's currency is the Thai Baht (THB).
Credit cards are widely accepted at hotels, golf clubs, shopping centres and larger restaurants, but cash remains useful for smaller purchases, markets, taxis and tips.
Caddie tipping is customary in Thailand, so we recommend carrying smaller Thai Baht notes on golf days.
ATMs are widely available throughout Pattaya, although international withdrawal fees may apply.
7) April Weather & What to Pack
April is one of the hottest times of year in Pattaya, so prepare for hot and humid golfing conditions.
Pack lightweight golf clothing, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses and a small umbrella. Short tropical showers are possible, so a lightweight rain jacket is also useful.
Most importantly, stay hydrated throughout your round and regularly reapply sunscreen.
8) Electronics & Power
Thailand operates on 220V / 50Hz electricity. Power outlets commonly accept two flat pins and two round pins, but socket styles can vary between hotels.
Australian travellers should bring a universal travel adapter. Most
The Thailand World Pairs is a professionally hosted four-round pairs golf tournament in Pattaya, Thailand. The 2027 event runs from 3–9 April and combines tournament golf at four of Pattaya's leading courses with six nights' accommodation, social events, prizes and plenty of time to enjoy Pattaya away from the course.
Absolutely. Singles are welcome. Let us know when you book and we'll arrange a playing partner for you. It's also a very social event, so travelling alone is no problem.
Golfers of different abilities are welcome. Players with a recognised Golf ID/official handicap are eligible for the main tournament competition, subject to the event rules. Players without an official handicap can still participate but are only eligible for daily novelty prizes. A maximum handicap differential of 20 applies between partners.
There are three accommodation options: Acqua Hotel Pattaya for location and value, Siam@Siam Design Hotel Pattaya for rooftop atmosphere and lifestyle, or the 5-star Meliá Pattaya Hotel for the premium tournament experience. Whichever hotel you choose, the golf and tournament inclusions remain the same.
The event uses different two-person team formats across the four rounds, including Texas 2 Ball and 2 Ball Ambrose. This keeps the tournament varied while giving both players plenty of opportunities to contribute to the team's result.
Yes. Non-golfers are very welcome, and golfer + non-golfer packages are available across the accommodation options. Pattaya offers plenty to do while the tournament rounds are being played, including beaches, shopping, restaurants, spas and sightseeing.
We would recommend paying deposits as soon as possible as events sell out and spots can not be held.
Yes, we offer a deposit option or you can contact us to set up a direct debit for easing tracking and payment.
